I actually had not planned to race this past weekend at Huntington Lake, but Lawrence Henderson decided to go at the last moment and needed crew. Since I had crewed for Lawrence before and knew the typical conditions at Huntington, I said I'd crew since my child wasn't coming along.

This past weekend 6 I-14s made the trek up to Huntington Lake in the Sierra's. The weather, as usual, was clear and sunny and rather warm in the parking lot though not as hot as sometimes. The wind was up to two-wiring conditions at the start of the races on both days, and remained that way all the way up to the top mark.
