International 14 US Class

It has been awhile since there were any posts about beer on this site.  It says it is a site for i-14's and beer, so here goes.

I drove two hundred miles today in the snow and then after work stopped at the beer store, appropriately named Chuck's Hop House.  For some reason in addition to my go to Stone IPA I was attracted to a few other San Diego IPA's, Port Brewing's Wipe Out and Green Flash's IPA.  Can anybody tell me why these beers taste so good after coming home and shoveling my deck of the ice and snow?  Just wondering.

I prefer Stone pale ale myself.  As to your question, I don't know, but sure glad to be here.  Latest greatest beer for me is Avery Brewing Company's Czar imperial stout.  This is not a beer 14 sailors should consume regularly unless they're trying to pack on the kilos, but makes a fantastic special occasion brew.  Avery Brewing Co. is in Colorado, so it kinda misses the 14 connection, but who cares?
