i14 Dreaming in Maui!!!!

Rain rain rain departing SFO last evening! Then, rain rain rain landing last night in Maui! Turbulence for a third of the crossing. Landed and taxied to the gate with windscreen wippers running! This morning - Maui - Blowing STINK! Roiled up sea state! Dreaming of sailing! Would be a simple matter of SURVIVAL in the i14!!! I might imagine that in high winds - similarly to the FD class, it must be a matter of making it round the course without BREAKDOWN, or Capsize. At 6'3" and 230lbs, believe… Continue

Pierre,

Welcome to 14 sailing.  Which boat did you purchase?  I probably know it as I have seen most of the US boats over the last 15-20 yrs.  Look forward to having you join our San Diego fleet.  I'm in Leucadia, and sail out of SDYC.  We will have a beginning skiff sailing clinic in Mid Jan and a follow up intermediate clinic in Feb.  Please plan to join us.
