Plans are coming together nicely for the 2010 I-14 US Nationals at San Diego Yacht Club. We have a great new facility to sail out of in the new Malin Burnham Sailing Center. We are planning to offer tows (with help from Sailing Supply) out to the course for those who wish for it each morning. Plan one race Fri afternoon outside, then probable Long Distance race starting outside, coming in and touring San Diego Bay with finish close to SDYC. Additional course racing outside on the Coronado Roads Sat. and Sun. I might mention you could see more courses than just windward / leeward, as these are not typically the championship courses we see at the Worlds. We have sponsored beer kegs from North Sails One Design and Glaser Sails. Great give aways / shirts with the entry. Have some cool 14 hats / visors available for purchase. We are planning a no hosted 14 party at Fiddler's Green (with specials extended to the fleet) Fri evening after beers at SDYC. Another keg after sailing Sat. and a hosted burger bash / pool party at the SDYC pavilion. Some munchies and more beers after sailing on Sun for the awards. We have some great giveaways by one of our main sponsors - Ronstan, and not all the swag goes to the top boats either. This should be an enjoyable weekend of sailing and I hope many will make the effort to come down and show the strength of the International 14 fleet. Look forward to seeing everyone.
